Neon Law Nautilus

Your privacy while you live. Your plan when you don't.

Neon Law Nautilus is the subscription sold as DeleteYourData.com. A licensed attorney helps you ask companies to delete the personal data they hold about you. Pair it with a Vesta Estate Planning estate plan, and an optional death check sets the triggers we write together in motion on your behalf.

The optional death check

Triggers you write once, set in motion when they are needed

The death check runs only while your Nautilus subscription is active, and only if you turn it on.

  1. Make your estate plan with Vesta

Start with an estate plan from Vesta Estate Planning.

  2. Write your triggers together

We decide with you who to tell, which claims to file, such as a life insurance claim, and which accounts to close.

  3. Keep Nautilus active

While your subscription is active, we periodically check whether you have passed away.

  4. We act on your behalf

When a death is confirmed, the death check sets the triggers in your plan in motion, as you directed.

Why it matters for life insurance

An insurer pays on proof, not on death.

In Nevada, a life insurer settles a death claim once it receives due proof of death (Nev. Rev. Stat. § 688A.140). Insurers must check the federal Death Master File only twice a year, and a benefit whose beneficiary cannot be found is presumed abandoned (Nev. Rev. Stat. § 688D.090).

A Florida appeals court found that when a death goes unidentified, beneficiaries are not notified or paid (Patronis v. United Ins. Co. of Am., No. 1D18-2114 (Fla. 1st DCA June 3, 2020)). A trigger in your plan is how your family hears about the claim from us instead.

Also available for cyber crimes

When a leak has already caused harm.

If a hack, data theft, identity theft, or online abuse has already caused you harm, Cyber Injury Law reviews the facts and whether a separate legal claim may be appropriate.

Attorney advertisement. Data removal does not guarantee that a company will comply or prevent a future leak, and the death check does not promise any particular insurance, probate, or tax outcome.
