Our Mission

At Neon Law, our mission is simple: do everything we can to improve access to justice.

We know the legal system isn’t perfect. While we can’t change everything overnight, we can leverage our background in software to make legal help faster, more affordable, and easier to access. Our goal is to help you exercise your legal rights, no matter your situation. The more you understand your rights, the more empowered you are to shape a better future.

Everyone deserves to have their problems heard. Whether you’re dealing with a traffic ticket, launching the next big startup, planning for your family’s future, facing immigration challenges, or seeking government assistance, we are here to support you.

When justice is accessible to all, we all benefit.

Two Entities, One Mission

Neon Law operates as both a law firm and a non-profit:

  • Neon Law – Our law firm provides direct legal services and representation. Neon Law is a collection of legal LLCs in various states.
  • Neon Law Foundation – Our 501(c)(3) non-profit focuses on developing open-source legal tools and resources.

Together, we work to radically expand access to justice by creating and sharing free legal resources, templates, and software. Our commitment to open conversation and accessible tools empowers communities, legal professionals, and organizations to solve legal problems efficiently and affordably.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Our team includes lawyers, engineers, and community advocates—all earning the same salary. By ensuring equal pay, we can focus on serving each other and our community in pursuit of justice.

  • We use shared email addresses instead of personal ones, ensuring collaboration and shared responsibility.
  • Decisions are made collectively through our partners@neonlaw.com email, following a quorum-based consensus.
  • We make long-term decisions, driven by our passion for making Neon Law a lifelong mission.

A diverse range of perspectives strengthens our ability to innovate and lead in the legal field.

Scaling Legal Services with Technology

We believe most legal challenges follow structured patterns that can be addressed through documents, questionnaires, and workflows. That’s why we developed Neon Notations, our take on developing a well-tested, structured taxonomy for legal service.
